Biography
I’ve been teaching Spanish since 2002 and enjoy it even more so now. My family moved from Monterrey, Mexico to Dallas when I was 2. I had the advantage of learning English at a very young age. But, my interest in Spanish came about as a result of the infamous high-school requirement. I was shocked to struggle to earn a B in a beginner class! I decided to major in Spanish. The most rewarding decision ever made was to study abroad for a year in Cuernavaca, México where I truly became fluent. Since then, I have traveled extensively throughout Latin America and Europe visiting countries such as Spain, France and, Colombia. My next adventure will lead me to Africa to practice my French. As a language learner, you are no longer relegated to one culture. With over 6,000 languages spoken in the world, why stop at 2? I am Mexican by birth but a citizen of the world.
